The “Building Sustainable Cities: Empowering Students for a Better Future” project is a collaborative effort co-financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and coordinated by ActionAid Italia. Its main objective is to engage students in exploring the United Nations 2030 Agenda, focusing in particular on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 11, which aims to improve cities by making them more sustainable and inclusive. Through the project, around 300 classes from the online platform and 70 classes from the local community had the opportunity to discover and explore the key themes of the 2030 Agenda and actively participate in co-planning actions related to urban sustainability.

Building Sustainable Cities: Empowering Students for a Better Future
The role of TTT in the project
As part of the “Building Sustainable Cities” project, TTT played a significant role in the implementation of the initiative specifically in the city of Agrigento. Collaborating closely with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and ActionAid Italia, TTT has focused its efforts on involving students and educational institutions in Agrigento. Through targeted activities, resources and guidance, TTT enabled students to understand and contribute to the goals of Sustainable Development Goal 11, which aims to improve cities by making them more sustainable and inclusive. By focusing its efforts in Agrigento, TTT aimed to create a lasting impact on the local community, promoting awareness, knowledge and active participation among students to promote positive change in their immediate surroundings.
